“ This is going to be a review in 2 parts. The food and the restaurant. The food takes a rating of 5 straight up. The goat biryani is my favourite, i am sucker for their succulent and tender goat, spice is milder, so ask for spicy. You cant beat the kebabs and naan here, a perfect indo pak cuisine. The restaurant gets a zero in cleanliness, the owner attitude and bathroom. You get a weird smell when you enter, they wont serve water, you have to purchase it. I still keep going there, why coz i have no control over my tongue. If possible get a to go. ”

“ This is a basic eatery in all senses of the word basic. However, if you're looking for authentic Pakistani Indian Muslim food there's no one who is going to outdo Mr. Rana... no one... Food is always amazingly fresh and fantastically cooked with all of the exotic flavors that are impossible to replicate at home... at least for me... lol Hands-down, the best authentic Indo-Pak-Restaurant in 100 mile radius. The place isn't much to look at but, as others have said the food makes up for it every time... any day of the week as I have been going to Mr.Rana for more then 7-8years... ”

“ I highly recommend this place and I should know as someone who eats a lot of desi food! My family of picky eaters even loves it! I've been here a couple of times but never got around to reviewing. I am not sure why this place is rated so low other than people may not know what to order or they don't like the unassuming location and interior. This place isn't fancy at all. It's your hole in the wall strip mall local family joint that serves fresh food and is delicious and authentic! I like to order and get my food to go. If you eat here know that they will only you serve bottled water or beverages as they don't have filtered water and you can't bring in food or water from the outside and eat inside here. That doesn't bother me but maybe it bothers some. The interior is plain and has chairs and tables. You order at the front counter and pick up your food at the pick up spot at the front. The owner is super nice and will explain to you what each item is if you don't know what something is ask! The mango lassi is a must! So smooth and cool to accompany your spicy meal! They make a great one here! Very refreshing! I love the chicken biryani here! You can order it spicy if you love really spicy food or go for medium etc whatever your desire is. The rice is perfectly cooked and flavorful, with tender juicy chicken. Highly recommend this dish! The kabobs are also quite good. They have chicken, lamb, and beef. I get the beef shik kabob which is basically a ground beef kabob that is cooked on a stick. Very juicy and flavorful! The chicken 65 is a classic appetizer! Juicy pieces of chicken breast are cooked tandoori style and crisped up! So yummy! The samosas are good! They have veggie, lamb, chicken, and beef. I've tried the beef and it was great. The food is very good quality and the prices are very low. You can order everything I mentioned and have food for a couple of people for multiple meals for under $40! It's definitely my favorite in Tampa. More people should check this place out, but please have your expectations in check as this isn't a full service restaurant. Know that and order and let them know your spice levels! They are willing to accommodate! :) ”

“ The best part of this place is their Chiken Biryani which is tasty and low pricy compare to any Indian Restaurants around. Rana Kabab is a low key but exceptional little place. Don't except anything fancy here. However it's just a low key simple eatery. What makes Rana exceptional is the food. The menu is fluid but extensive. It's true home cooked meals vs the bland, food colored variety found at most Indian restaurants. Great kebabs, Bihari kebabs and nihari. The food is fresh, probably helped by the fact that they own the butcher shop next door. The owner is ever caring and makes sure every one is well taken care off. Not sure of people complaining about the service. That has never been my experience. I have been to all the Indian restaurants in the Tampa area and by far this is place has the best food for the price. Yes I agree this place does not have the best decor and even the service is okay on busy days but the food makes up for it. So I totally recommend this place this is my to-go to place when I have not cooked at home or when have guests over. ”
